The Rev. Father Alban Butler was born in 1710 at Appletree, England. While still a youth, he was received into the English College of Douai, Flanders and subsequently ordained a priest in 1735. I bought this book back in 2011 and have read it every day for the last couple of years. This book has brought me closer to God through the Saints. This is the real book. The earliest copyright is 1878. This is a wonderful book written indeed by Father Alban Butler. The reflections alone are worth reading. Only the Saints on pages 393-422 were not written by Father Butler because they became Saints after his death. I really loved reading this book and I highly recommend it. Don't buy the updated version this is the only one you need!

He insisted on the “traditional role” for women, meaning they were restricted to only certain tasks.Hourly History gives us good information about this man. Among much else, we learn that: He was the longest running dictator in history. He was the dictator of Spain for 36 years. He was a borderline fascist. He killed many of his opponents, between 15,000 and 50,000 people. He tried to control Spain even after his death.

Although understanding that a biography can not easily be disclosed in depth in a 40 minutes reading book format, I must say that, in my opinion, this is just a "political correct" focused work, well far away from the actual biography of the subject. You can feel this approach after the first 10 lines. Many and important events from different sides missed(?)absolutely critical to understand that difficult time in Spain,s History.Everybody knows that General Franco was a dictator for 36 years. There is no much more deployed in this work that could help to understand the dictator,s personality besides de classic cruelty in the aftermath of the war and those things.Dissapointing.

Though not quite a 5 star rating, this overview of Spain's Franco is somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. Nicely written and informative, a nice view of a piece of history. The man, Franco, contending he was a supporter of Christendom, was rather UN-Christian-like in his rise to power, was an able military man, sometimes Statesman and conflicted human being. As with almost any country, the introduction of some form of a free-market process usually improves a country's economics, as is the case with Spain under Franco in his waning years. Great man? Not so sure, but a couple of things in his favor; his resistance to Hitler and his slowly giving into the idea of a democracy.

Sums up his life rather succinctly but (somehow) just does not leave the reader with a clear 'picture' of the man himself.Could also do with better proof-reading to clear up a bunch of grammatical mistakes in the use of words, punctuation, etc....

Ruthless yet effective would be a succinct version of the book. Most writers and arists, coming as many do from the leftist fringe, have focused on the period of the Spanish Civil War and Franco's seldom-denied harshness. The book does well in showing those 4 years as part of a 40-year strategy of keeping Spain out of foreign entanglements. An excellent short biography.

Although well written, this Hourly History Book is almost exactly like another Hour History Book titled Spanish Civil War. Both books tells how Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin interfered with the War. They tested their weapons and personnel during The Spanish Civil War.

A short but thorough history of Franco, the man ,the leader The Spain !He was quite brilliant and wary of outsiders.Courted by both the Axis Powers and the Alies, he was able to stay somewhat neutral and survive.

Clearly written, interesting, succinct story of Spain's brutal military leader and dictator during Spain's civil war, through WWII, and his death in 1975. This book, coupled with Hourly History's book on the Spanish Civil War provide an excellent overview on Spain from the 1930s to 1975.

Keep in mind that it does not hit nearly as much detail that the original book had in it, so if you are looking to catch every feature that Mathew Dixon and Brent Adamson has covered, then you will be disappointed.

The Summary of Matthew Dixon’s and Brent Adamson’s “The Challenger Sale” is a great comprehensive explanation of the essential information one would need from the original book. It defines the basics of what a challenger is and what they do to be labeled the challengers. It also covers why companies need challengers both as someone they are purchasing from or as someone to be a salesman of their product. Challengers are important assets on both sides of the fence for any successful business. I have read the original book and I feel like this is a great summary of the primary information one should harvest from the book. I’ll definitely check out more summaries by this author!

At less than 19 pages it was not worth the cost, was to poorly organized to efffective highlight and summarize the book!

Not worth the money. Thought I could use it for my staff as a quick reference but it leaves out key components of Challenger Selling

Good booklet

A great summary for anyone who already has a long non-fiction reading list. Although Matthew Dixon and Brent Adamson’s research seems like it will be thorough, this summary left me with a lot to think about and take away. I spent less than half an hour reading this on my lunch break and had some insights to take back into my role. Working in a support department I saw areas where I could better help the sales team. Using tactics to change the focus of a sale, and devote time into developing the mindset of our consumer is something we will definitely put into our daily activities.While I’m sure I will pick up a copy of the Challenger Sale, this summary sold me. I can clearly see the value of adding this non-fiction book to my list before the end of the year. The summary wasn’t in the greatest order, but for less than five dollars I see the value in evaluating this before adding a physical copy of The Challenger Sale to my collection.
