Outstanding! After having read the Kybalion this book was so informative and enlightening. I am currently reading it a second time and finding new insights. If you are into New Age, new thought, pure mind, this book is a terrific guide.

I found this book interesting for getting the basic idea of what the Hermetica is.I guess some reviewers think it's too watered down and doesn't match the voluminous original texts. However I read one such book years ago which was overloaded with footnotes and sections written in the original language which unfortunately for me I am not fluent in. There's something to be said for creating an approachable introduction to such a metaphysical subject.The statements attributed to Thoth / Hermes in this book are very eloquent and poetic at times. He describes the universe as a goddess named Destiny who governs the stars and the constellations of the Zodiac. The Zodiac in turn governs the affairs of us mortals. On the day we are born the position of the constellations will foretell our destiny during this incarnation.I would like to find a good book about astrology that shows the connections between the Zodiac and Egyptian mysticism if anyone can think of one. I'm interested in what the 12 signs mean in relation to the effects of the constellations on the affairs of mortals.Some people see a connection between the Egyptian god Thoth and Christ like Thoth was Christ in another incarnation. Edgar Cayce stated that Thoth was the living embodiment of 'The Word' or something to that effect. The Gospel Of John describes Christ in that same way.Another possible connection with Christ is the way Thoth explained what the term 'born again' means. Christians use that term often but do they know what it really means ? Perhaps they do know but they usually won't explain it in terms of Egyptian mysticism.I believe Christ traveled to Egypt and studied with the Egyptian priests during the so called missing years that weren't captured in the bible. Christ experienced the Egyptian initiation rites I believe. If what some people believe is true it was Christ Himself who created the Egyptian priesthood and the initiation rites during his life experience as Melchizedek. Although who knows if Melchizedek and Thoth were even normal human beings. Perhaps they were something more.That's why Saint Augustine said that Christianity has always existed and is the one true religion. The authors show that quote in the introduction.It's an interesting theory that ancient and secret knowledge is passed along to a chosen few in every generation. Some people think that Pythagoras and Plato may have been two of those people.The search for the origins of philosophy will I believe lead us back to ancient Egypt and ultimately to Atlantis. Mythology is the common thread between all of the world's religions, even the evil ones like Satanism. Although I'm not sure that saying Satan is 'evil' is totally accurate either.Zeus, Osiris, Isis and those others are very real. The information contained within is so helpful and insightful, that one can not just rush through the book.I normally devour books within a day (especially of this size), but with this one I have found myself reading just a 'chapter' and reflecting what was written.One can see a number of similarities with a few religions out there. As a very spiritually open person, I have always thought, one needed to make sure the information we receive resonates within ourselves.I started with the Kybalion by Three Initiates (also ordered here on Amazon), so this left me wanted to find out more. This book is well written, I will order more copies to give away

Although it would be nice to read it prior to its many translations, like Bible would be, this book still holds some pretty priceless wisdom. If listening to it audibly, one can easily lose track of which words are the "original" words of Hermes, and which are the expanded author commentary.

Hermes was clearly a great genius, but it's hard to know the precise meaning of the ancient writings, so scholars are prone to argue about translations. In my view, the arguments miss the point. Great truths resist translation to words, so we must use our intuition to ride along with the prose so we can receive enlightenment. Then our understanding can be filled in directly from source, within. In this version, I found the streaming lyrical script this author uses to be very inspiring and illuminating. I just like to keep this book around, pick it up now and then, and read. Hermes was what in India would have been called a guru, a sage, a mahatma, and he is talking about the living cosmos, the embodiment of awareness from top to bottom in this universe. He says the universe is breathing and singing, and in that divine vibration everything is happening. We are an intimate part of it, and knowing that is incredibly exciting. As above, so below. As without, so within. We are an atom in a galaxy, but within us are billions of tiny worlds as well. There is no end to the glory of Atum ( the one god and infinite spirit ). Every time I read this book I get a little more understanding. compare to Upanishads, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and tibetan teachings about the nature of the cosmos. Wonderful book. If you also want a more scholarly approach to the complete teachings of Hermes, there are many other great titles.

If you are a hermetic or theology geek like myself, this book is awesome. Note, no mention of kaballa or memorizing tons of stuff. Just simple clear explanations.

Great book for all of those who want to learn the truth and to spirituality awake from the matrix and the material world we live in.

A very simple and basic book, one that I recommend, as I recommend all the books by this author. It proclaims the principles of a deeper understanding of our world, albeit on a very basic level. This book won't appeal to everyone. But those who understand the basics of spiritual living will find it valuable.

Ms. Dennie is a ‘new-to-me’ author, so I was looking forward to reading her story and seeing what it was like. It is a contemporary romance that had drama, funny moments, chemistry, and passion.Emery caught her (ex) boyfriend in bed with her best friend. Double betrayal! She’s very hurt. But she also wants to put it all behind her, as she has a ‘secret’ that she needs to deal with. She’s definitely not interested in relationships- no-strings hook-ups will suit her just fine. But, will a persuasive, sexy, wealthy, alpha-type male be able to change her stone cold opinion, get her to let down her defences, and to take a chance on love again? You really need to read this book to discover all the sexy details for yourself.Good character development, interesting characters with quirky personalities. I loved Granny! Jackson is alpha-male swooniness!! Emery is all woman, and is perfect for Jackson. Minor issue- some of the sex scenes were a little awkward for me, the descriptive words seemed a little old fashioned, or out of place. (eg: …”her juices bury(?) my c**k as we slowly rock back and forth….”). Maybe it’s just me?Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Jordan & Damon in Book #2.Thank you, Ms. Dennie!

It drew me in from the beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Emery Stone and Jackson Pierce. Emery is a woman who feels the need to be in control. Her heart has been broken by a cheating ex-boyfriend. Relationships and commitment are no longer for her. Jackson is attracted to Emery from the start. She makes him feel different than others have. Now all he has to do is win over her heart and stop pushing him away. What does the future hold for Jackson and Emery? Will they find happiness or will obstacles come between them? Read this book to find out. I could feel deep emotions that both Jackson and Emery have. They are characters that I grew to care about and I found myself rooting for them to find happiness. There are steamy moments that will have you reaching for a cold glass of water. There are also several secondary characters that are wonderful to read about. I enjoyed the bonds that many of them and Emery have. This is a wonderful romance story that you don’t want to miss out on. I would recommend reading it.

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It is a well written story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters are connectable and true to life, they made me feel as if I was part of the story. Emery has been hurt in the past and has built up walls that she refuses to tear down. Jackson has finally met someone that he can’t be without but will he be able to get to her heart? I didn’t regret picking up this book, I highly recommend it.

This is my first book from this author and I found it to be easily read, relatable, and emotional. The backstory for each character was thoughtful. The characters faced trials that felt authentic. I felt that the story moved at a good pace and the characters were well developed. Overall an enjoyable book. I look forward to seeing how the series unfolds.

I’m in love with this couple! Jackson is sexy as hell, a millionaire and the next best thing to sliced bread. I’m glad he stood his ground when he recognized that Emery was holding back. I get that Emery was hurt by her past, but she needed to stop punishing Jackson for her ex’s failings. Hurrah, she finally woke up. Such a good read. It definitely kept me up until the end.

I like Spectrum Test Practice a lot. The lessons are interesting and my kids can do one lesson in 10-15 min. so they don't complain when I ask them to do some.

Excellent workbook with plenty of math and language exercise. Well done and grade-appropriate.

There are so many mistakes in it. Who checked this? The questions are confusing. I'm sorry for our kids who need to learn this Common Core stuff and who will be running this country.

My kids are homeschooled and they do take state tests from Seton. I always use Spectrum. It works. It could use some upgrading but overall it's good.
