Well, well, well! Noah and his team are involved in a mission to beat all missions. A political quagmire and science fiction nightmare, you won’t have any trouble believing in it’s possiblities. Noah, Sarah, Neil, Jenny, Marco, and Renee are Team Camelot, a secretive government group created to protect the country. Run by Allison Peterson, the team must go to Argentina where it appears aliens from outer space have landed and are killing soldiers, American and Argentinian. The reality is even worse than creatures from outer space, though!Lots of action and surprises, the author has taken on a premise the far left in the U.S. would love to see happen. Fear not, you know Noah and his team are for truth, justice, and the American way. A very entertaining read with a nice surprise at the end!

Good writing with fresh subject. My problem is with the quality and what’s not there. The usual typos any high schooler could detect has been a constant in this authors offerings. The last two books don’t have page numbers, time remaining in chapter and most notable, No Table Of Contents!! Does pagination and TOC really cost that much to provide?

Another great Noah Wolf read. Spoiler alert. This one starts with Noah and his team, Sarah, Neil, Jenny, Marco and Renee arriving back in Kirtland. They head in to a meeting to see Allison, the Dragon Lady and head of E&E and Donald Jefferson her second. What she shows them are films of what could be extra terrestrials and huge domed ships. She also tells them several of military men, all from the US, have come up missing or dead. Of course Noah isn't buying the ET crap for one moment. Allison also tells him anyone trying to get into the area where a compound is disappears. Noah and his team will be heading for Argentina. So begins one damned fine read. This one has Noah, Sarah, Jenny, Neil, Marco, Renee, a Renee who will be running a laboratory as she was a lab assistant before Wally hired her into E&E, a Noah and team who will be FBI agents for this one, Doctor Eric Emerson a forensic physician, and Allison who will be going to Argentina with Noah and his team, the weapons, com gear that are specific to E&E, and Allison who thinks this all might be headed into a New World Order, no borders, one Government for all, one scary thought for all the team and Allison, when they arrive they meet with Col. Noah or the Argentine Army and Major Wilson who tell them three more men have disappeared, another patrol in was chased out but they did recover film from a body cam showing something large chasing the men, a something none of them have ever seen before, a Specialist Daniel McRae who's an IT guy, a man who is taken from his home, a man who will play an important part in the story, a Lt. Belcher who escapes from the compound and heads for those he needs to relay his info to, a Belcher who is killed, Dr. Emerson who does the autopsy and discovers some very strange things, a man named Carl Litchfield, a man who got his bachelors degree in physics at age 23, joined the army shortly after, the 101st Airborne and rose the rank of Sgt., did two tours in Afghanistan and then went to military intelligence, a Litchfield with one strange story to tell about what he is currently doing, Doctor Branigan and his daughter Lisa who have disappeared, a Noah who discovers another team is working on the same mission, a Corporal Latham who turns out to be Captain Jack Swaggart who works for Military Intelligence, a Swaggart who will play and import part in the story and Noah Wolf and his team doing their best to figure it all out, survive and stay alive.Five Stars. I sure hope Archer starts a new series with Swaggart and his crew. It would be great.

A bit of science fiction blended in made this Noah Wolf adventure a little different. It had its usual action and ability to maintain interest. The writing was excellent as always except that there were a few more typos or grammatical missteps than previous works. Not enough to detract from the overall quality but slightly annoying. I felt the there was a rush in completing and publishing. It still deserves five stars because the main object of a story is to entertain and take the reader's imagination for a ride. And that, it did.Thank youJaime ReyesAuthor - In the Beginning

This time out Team Camelot faces a totally different type of enemy. Dominion over the entire world is the goal of the “bad guys” and it’s possible their scheme could work if they’re not defeated. All the characters are well defined and I felt I was right there cheering them on. While this book can certainly be enjoyed by someone new to the series, the reader will enjoy World Order even more if they have followed the characters from the beginning. Each recurring character has evolved over time and become dear to die-hard fans. I’m anxiously awaiting the next adventure.

I love the Noah Wolf series. The only thing that bugs me is the Sarah character. She adds nothing to the story, and her presence alone makes the Noah character appear weak. Kill her off, she brings nothing to the party.Other than that, this is a good story. Introduced some new characters that I would like to see in the future.

He’s a great writer. Has listened to readers and has taken out most of the profanity. So I’ll give him credit for that. His books are great action books for young readers. So keep the profanity out and you open your books to a whole new level of readers. A young reader becomes a reader for life. And maybe find a better way of editing books. A few mistakes ok but there were more then a few. Not a show stopper but why not improve them. I’m starting to recommend his books as he improves his use of language.

New World Order refers to plans to bring the whole world under a single, controlling, government. But how do you get the present governments to agree to subject themselves to this new world government? That's the premise of this book. Noah Wolf and his team are sent in to investigate the events created by the organization attempting to set the stage for the new world government. Non stop action. A good read even though I only read a couple of the previous books in this series. I highly recommend this book.

I'm not much of a comic/graphic novel fan. But I do love Alcorn's work. So let me tell you; this book is amazing on many levels. Alcorn has woven together the important teaching about heaven/hell as told in Luke 16 + several accounts of the gospel message + very reasonable biblical speculation + great storytelling. The result is something that is appealing to both Christians and spiritual seekers. ****Pharisee Alert **** A powerful evangelistic tool like this book is well-outside what the legalists/Pharisees of today will likely endure. But who cares? Sharing the gospel is the goal of every true Christian ... or at least ... it should be. Eternity fits that bill in a fantastic fashion. The biblical accuracy gave me goose bumps, and the artwork was outstanding. Randy's work has been a blessing to not only my walk with Christ, but also to my own writing. Hope to see more from him.

I love everything Randy Alcorn writes so I bought this for my Kindle. I guess this is what folks call a graphic novel -- in my day, it was called a comic book. Anyway, if you have a Kindle Paperwhite, as I do (which I absolutely love), this is a hard read on it. It's in black and white and you have to keep tapping on the individual "blocks" to make them big enough to read on the Paperwhite. I tried to read it on my laptop, but I was having the same trouble with the font size, so I gave that up. Perhaps on the Kindle Fire it might be an easier read. In any event, of all the Randy Alcorn books I have read, this one was my least favorite. Most likely because the format didn't lend itself to the depth of character development in his full length novels, but I still thought it was ok.

This book was based on the story in Luke about Lazarus and the rich man. The story is expanded in several ways. Yet it was able to catch the Gospel message. It hit me in a deep way. I think any Christian will be very touched by this. The visual look is very impressive as well.

Very Biblically accurate, with great additional development of the story. By additional development, I mean plausible conversations, motivations, etc. I've never read a graphic novel before, wasn't into comic books as a kid, but I found the genre interesting. My daughters love this and have asked for more. I can't think of anything written by Mr. Alcorn that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed.

This is the first "comic-book" of Bible stories I've read by Randy Alcorn and I'm impressed, not only by the visuals, but also the integrity of the text. I thought it might just be for children, but I was delighted to see how God used this in my 65-year-old heart. I'm longing for heaven now!

Good read.

Wonderful and brings the story to life. Great illustrations that captivate and help you to remember. Reminds you of what really is important .

Great evangelical tool to get conversation started up. Specially for young teens. But also for adults who like comic books. Just loaned out my own copy not an hour ago. I love this book! We need more, Mr. Alcorn; we need more!

Night Play (Dark-Hunter, Book 6), by Sherrilyn Kenyon

From Publishers Weekly

Can a gorgeous werewolf with magical powers and an overweight boutique owner with a broken heart have a future together? They can in Kenyon's fantastical world, which imagines a contemporary New Orleans teeming with vampiric Daimons, immortal Dark-Hunters and various were-bears, leopards and wolves. Vane Kattalakis is a lone wolf in every sense. His brother, Fang, is in a coma; his werewolf father wants to kill him; and his mostly human mother, who was taken by force by Vane's father, would happily see them all dead. But after Vane shares a sizzling sexual encounter with Bride McTierney, he realizes his life is about to change. Bride is Vane's "predestined mate," which means that he has three weeks to convince her to be his partner or he'll spend the next several decades impotent and alone. Vane's gentle, protective manner and "ripped" body appeal to Bride, but she can't help wondering: if they were to get together, would they have puppies or babies? Kenyon's tale, while amusing at times, borders on the ridiculous. The rules of her world change constantly, and her male characters are all formed from the same tall, dark and dangerous mold. Bride, meanwhile, is a mere cipher, and though the sex scenes between her and Vane are titillating, their romance is nearly nonexistent. From Booklist

Bride McTierney has just been dumped via FedEx. There's not much that could ease such a broken heart until Vane Kattalakis wanders into her shop and her life. Their whirlwind affair feels too good to be true. After all, her ex-beau proved men are dogs, which turns out to be a more appropriate figure of speech than Bride could ever imagine. More character driven than her previous Dark-Hunter novels, Kenyon's latest is a nice change of pace yet still chock-full of the quirky humor, complex fantasy, and searing passion that her readers love. This book's success, however, appropriately lies with Bride and Vane. It's been said of Kenyon that she knows men, but she really knows women and all our secret fears and hidden desires. She has distilled those into Bride, who is both our sister and ourselves. Then she made a man who understands and loves her, insecurities and all. Every woman should have a Vane Kattalakis in her life. Thanks to Kenyon, every woman can. Nina DavisCopyright © American Library Association. All rights reserved

I think this is the first time I've given Ms. Kenyon less than a 4. I love the Dark Hunter series - and all the novellas and Were/Dreamers books - and let's not talk about how Acheron is by far my favorite character, that is until Styxx. In Acheron I cried for him, for his situation and the unfairness of his life, and I was glad that at least he had his sister on his side. On this book I bleed for Styxx, he had it worse than Acheron and I think Ms. Kenyon used the -rape- factor by far too much in this book. I do believe she gives a good excuse as to why Styxx was physically abused so much but she went on and on with scenes that could have been avoided and the past of the book was dragged too much -with the element of rape being the most prominent factor of it.Styxx's life was harsh, his father's expectations and doubts about his birth circumstances were heavy on him. His sister was an utter b-i-t-c-h, if I liked her in the first book in this one she has become one of my most hated characters of all times -she's worse than Voldemort and Dolores Umbridge mixed together. She was such a b-i-t-c-h and terrible unfair with Styxx, she was pitiful and resentful and the loved I felt she had for Ash in Acheron's book felt almost obsessive - as if she too couldn't avoid the want of wanting Acheron for herself. And let's not go to his uncle because next to his sister those two were horrible.Styxx was gorgeous, his life as a soldier was my favorite aspect of the book, the way he was so fair with his army and nothing stopped the fact he was noble inside and outside. He was an old soul in a child's body and his relationship with his Master and later father figured was amazing. Styxx and Beth were lovely, one of the best couples from the Dark-Hunter series. I loved how even later, in present time, Styxx never complained about life and unfairness, he just kept going on loving Beth and his unborn child. From the present part of the book, I loved Styxx and Urian's relationship. I loved Urian as a character and knowing who was his father made me love him a bit more. The fact he never pushed Styxx and respected him, never judging was one of the best aspects of the book. The ending felt extremely rushed and I felt lost in occasions because so many things were going on and Ash was an as-s-h-ole for the most part of the book - if not the entire book - and Styxx was still suffering other's peoples hate on him. He just wanted to be free, free and alone even if he always hated being alone when he was a child. The fact I felt it was a rape-fest most of the book and the ending was extremely rushed took a lot of enjoyment of this book. I had to put it aside for a second because the rape scenes were a turn off -even if they weren't descriptive, the aftermath was always terrible to read.

For long time followers of this series, this book will be a roller coaster of emotion! The book starts off much like Acheron's story because Acheron and Styxx are twin brothers. We have read Archeron's side and understand why he hates Styxx so much; what we don't know is why Styxx hates Acheron. We have been lead to believe that Styxx is the bad person for over 20 books. Can and does Styxx have any redeeming qualities? Is he the the arrogant, spoiled prince that Acheron believes or is he looking at his brother with blinders on?I'm not going to lie this book is filled with heart ache and abuse, much like Acheron. I cried at many points in this book because the author solicits very strong emotions. As in other books this book follows suit with the gods at play with the human lives and we see how tragic it can be. We also see the fight of a human man (Styxx) against those gods and those who seek to destroy him.As per all of the Dark Hunter/Dream Hunter books, the characters are very well developed as are the the places in time and periods of time. The author put a tremendous amount of work into this book and it shows. Some parts of the book may indeed seem like deja vu, yet they are different because the memories are from Styxx. In this book we meet Styxx's Beth. She is an incredible heroine, much like the women in the previous books. She is strong and independent and willing to look past the wrapper that is Styxx. Will their love be able to overcome all in this book or will the interference of the other meddling gods be too powerful?Overall, this is my favorite book from Sherrilynn Kenyon. The story is very powerful, emotional and at times completely tragic.

Like all readers I have read every book that Ms. Kenyon has written about the dark hunters. I especially loved Zarek's, Kyrian's and Wulf's for starters. I waited impatiently for Acheron's book and loved it. But I have to be truthful that I just could not read some of the scenes in the his early life and had to skim some of this to get to the second half of the book. I also didnt like Styxx when he showed up on mardi gras nigt to kill Acheron and was not that interested in reading his story. But since Ms. Kenyon is on my pre-order list I went ahead and purchased it. I loved that the book started out with them being close and I LOVED the way they would sleep together with their backs to each other and their feet touching when they could be together. But the book became really dark for me after that. I again had to skim a little of the book because of all the rape scenes. All the horrors that Styxx went through and he actually stayed sane was just unbelievable. And he never said a word to anyone about these atrocities. He accepted all the abuse by his father, Acheron, Ryssa, Apollo (someone should have chained him along time ago) and especially being stabbed by his crazy mother. SPOILERS: he killed his uncle to save his sister who hated him and still he was left out of everything that could have given him some happy moments when Ryssa and Acheron were together. I was really glad when he met Bethany and he fell in love with her. He was so sweet and shy but wanted to protect her. With everything he went through before and during their relationship he was still such a unassuming person who expected to be abuse everytime he turned around. The isolation alone was horrible and I could not understand how he made it through all this. After trying to kill Acheron he was given Acheron's memories for THREE years. He had to live his and Acheron's memories over and over and it was so heartbreaking. When Acheron finally saw him again and decided to bring him to Kateros I was really happy that they would be able to find that special relatioship again. But NO Acheron had to leave him alone for another THREE years to survive and to really torment him, he was able to see the temple Acheron lived in and see how happy he was. All of his friends were around Acheron all the time and still Styxx was not included. This is where I started to HATE Acheron. He did not make any attempt to forgive his brother. Even though he still loved Nick after his murder attempt and being able to help his dark hunters to learn to forgive their atrocities. Again Styxx had to be isolated and learn to attempt to live using really basic necesseties to survive but not only that, he had to do it in a place where he was a prisoner for a year to be beaten, raped and humilated constantly. UGH... again Styxx was stabbed in the gut. It seems he should have died so many times but unfortunately, he lived and was scarred again..I was so glad to see Urian again and how he befriended Styxx. (I also figured out the storyline here, it wasnt so hard). I really wished that Urian made more of an effort to get to know Styxx more. Styxx had to wait til he was moved to NY before they were able to get to know each other better. It was so good also to see Simi and everone again. This is really where I started to cry. (even now when I am writing this those scenes were really hard for me to read). Styxx found Bethany's temple and stayed there hoping that no one found him and forced him back to the island. I really loved Danger and Urian taking care of him by bringing him food and clothes. I could go on and on here. But unfortunately Styxx had to wait a really long time for his happy ending after this and this was so unacceptable to me. Why was his life so much harder than Acheron's? I really hated that part. I really loved how he stayed faithfull to Bethany and his love was so pure for over thousands of years constantly. He never waivered from this, never gave up and he lived with this pain so long that when he finally saw her again it was heartbreaking (sorry for using this word again...).I thought Zarek's life was so horrible but I think Styxx has him beat now. Ms. Kenyon has given us a wonderful world with these books, and her stories really touch you, whether they are horrible or not, so thank you Ms. Kenyon. This is another wonderful addition to your dark hunter world. I recommend this book to all dark hunter fans but please be prepared for tough scenes. If you can make it through that then you will have a new appreciation for people who survive ordeals and come out stronger. Unfortunately, life is hard and some people have it harder than others but humans are survivors; we just have to figure out what is important enough to figt for. Thanks!!!!
