Before I bought Kumon Geometry, I bought a dozen available other Geometry workbook for my 11 year-old son. That was total waste of money. My son finished Kumon Pre-Algebra and Algebra 2 190 page workbooks this summer vacation within 1 month, and suddenly became a Math Genius, since he is only 11 year-old and 5th Grade. And now he found the Kumon Geometry 2 workbooks are exactly the same style, super clear, super easy to follow, and the middle school math suddenly became a piece of cake!!!Actually, I bought all available Kumon workbooks for my son since 2 years ago. He loves it! Math life became so wonderfully simple, and we are very grateful to Kumon Genius Math series...
I have been using Kumon books for my children as supplemental study material at home. After we moved up to pre-algebra and geometry, I realized these books can't be used as stand-alone because they don't start from teaching the basic concept of geometry or algebra. If the school is teaching the same material these books work fine, but my older son is 1-2 grades more advanced, so these books are not the best for him now (he is a 5-th grader).
Since this advertised as a Step-by-step method, I thought it would have more direction and actually explain each step (step by step) but it does not. It is actually more of a supplement or practice book. Not what I was looking for.
My daughter used them as review practices. Some questions are harder than typical school problems. Cheaper than going to Kumon.
